Space, Space, Space, Cookie, Space

Today was awesome. I woke up from a glorious sleep, though it was not nearly as long as I wanted it to be. My sleep was so wonderful because Noel gave me his pillow which he hates. It's a firm pillow, and he hates that about it. I, however, love firm pillows. Noel laughed when I told him that. He was like, "You like 'em firm?" To which I replied, "Yes, yes I do." But then he was all confused because I said I don't like bananas. Oh well.
So when we got in, Ari and I both started working on our HTML webpages. I'm really excited about how it will turn out. When 9 rolled around, we went outside and did the back-to-back challenge. Ari and I were of course the first ones to complete it when it was just us two. When we completed that, we did groups of four. Our group did pretty well. Our group of eight didn't work all that well. We didn't even get up before they had us do one large group. We had a lack of communication, so it took a while, but we eventually all got off the ground.
When we got back inside, we worked on Ruby. I had finished the GPA calculator by the time Jen finished explaining it, so I moved on. I was just starting the second part of the guessing game when it was time for our guest speaker. He was cool. I can't remember his name, and I'm too lazy to get up and go get his card, so he will remain nameless for now. He talked to us about this cool learning program that will be taking place sometime in September and will end in December. It sounds cool. So when he finished, Noor talked to us about the NCWIT Aspirations in Computing Award. She tols us about her experiences with being a National winner and going to Grace Hopper Conventions, and then she told us how she got to meet and shake hands with the president! It's so cool that she was able to represent us at the National level. And by us, I mean New Mexico. When she was done talking about her own experiences, she talked to us about applying and how it isn't really all that hard. Of course, they mentioned us, but Ari kept on saying how it was really me that the people should talk to if they want more information. Man. I really want to be a national winner. I've been a national runner-up and a local affiliate winner for the past 2 years. I think I will take Noor's offer up to email my application so she can help me improve my chances.
Lunch was sandwiches and more Avengers. Iron man reminds me of my brother Rene, so I can put up with him. The only Avenger I really like is Captain America. And maybe Thor. Maybe.

Thor is so cute in this
So when we got back inside, we had an open lab, and I got really far on my webpage, considering I had not a lot. I need to choose a better background picture, but still. I like it.

So. Blog prompt. I don't know exactly what space I'm supposed to be talking about. Hmm. Outer space it is!!
I loved the episode this is from
Well. I personally do not want to go to outer space, because quite frankly I would be terrified to go out into space in a rocket ship. I would not mind writing a program for the International Space Station to use, and I would definitely not mind being a part of mission control, but still. Outer space freaks me out. I would probably just duct tape myself to something stable so I don't float around in the space station. It would most likely be to a hard drive of some sort, so long as it's stable. Hmm. They probably have to secure all the keyboards, huh? To make sure the can actually be typed on? Yeah. Ok. Well the, I guess I'm done. So long for now!! (Now, now, cookie, now)
